I have a John and Judy. I'm not sure where it came from but I think
Bill may have sent it to Mom and Dad and she forwarded it to me.
According to information I found on the web, John was a 1989 graduate
of St. Scholastica College
They are both gone, now. I wish I didn't have to start with the ending
... But I might as well get it out of the way. John's obit is below and I just recently found
Judy's obit online (posted under John's) while searching for info about my grandfather.
John Russel Pontinen, 77 of Maplewood died on Aug.
30, 2006 of leukemia. He will be deeply missed by his wife, Judy (Angell,
Cayo) Pontinen; daughters, Pamela Saenger, Penny (Bob) Feneis; son, Peter
(Kim) Pontinen; 5 grandchildren; Judy's children and grandchildren; Michelle
(Cayo) & Richard Davis of Duluth, Jacqueline (Cayo) & Tim Picek
of Cook and Tim & Denise Cayo of St. Michaels, Minn. Judy was married
to Jake Cayo.
Mass of Christian Burial 11AM Wed. Sept. 6 at ST. THOMAS THE APOSTLE
CATHOLIC CHURCH - 2119 Stillwater Ave - St. Paul (651-738-0677) with
visitation at church 1 hr before Mass. Private interment. Memorials preferred.

Judith Diane (Angell, Cayo) Pontinen 66 formerly of
Cook and now of Woodbury, Minnesota passed away on August 14, 2007. She
was born on June 7, 1941.
She was preceded in death by her father Howard Angell
77, 1996 and her second husband John Pontinen 77, 2006 . Judy is survived
by her children; Michele (Rick) Davis of Duluth, Jacqueline "Jackie" (Timothy)
Picek of Cook and Timothy (Denise) Cayo of St. Michael, Mn. and her mother
Faye Angell of Duluth. Grandchildren; Alex and Jared Davis, Bennett and
Hayden Picek, Chase and Courtney Cayo. Her brother Gary Angell; and sisters;
Joan Johnson and Jacqueline Carlson.
Judy worked as a Directory of Religious Education at
Holy Family in Fairmont, Mn and most recently St. Thomas the Apostle
Church in St. Paul. She had a Bachelors Degree in religious education
from St. Scholastica and a Master Degree of education from the College
of St. Thomas.
Services; 1100 am Saturday, August 18, 2007 sat St.
Thomas the Apostle Catholic church. 2119 Stillwater Ave. St. Paul, Minnesota.
Friends and family begin to gather at 9:30 am at the church.
Arrangements are with the Historic Thomson-Dougherty
Funeral Home.
